Everyone from town piles into the tent night after night to catch a glimpse of the most amazing circus acts the world has yet known. A mysterious Dr. Coppelius, claiming to have the power to bring his doll to life, dazzles the unsuspecting crowds with his electrifying act. The circus’s ringleader Franz believes he has discovered the trick to the good Dr.’s act, a secret accomplice, that Franz is very interested in meeting.
Swanhilda, unamused by Franz’s suspected romantic diversion, aims to set the record straight by finding the Dr.’s accomplice before Franz has a chance to ruin their engagement. What will they find when sneaking into the Dr.’s quarters in search of this mystery accomplice?
Find out May 15th, with Wisconsin Dance Theatre’s production of Coppelia Under the Big Top. Love, terror, and laughs await!
