Meet The Dance Groups

United We Dance celebrates the collaboration of schools and dance styles to create a one-of-a-kind show that demonstrates local support for charitable causes. We are honored to showcase the incredible talent within our community.

Annie Hackett

Ms. Hackett is the owner and artistic director of the Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama, is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association and is a former professor of dance at Carthage College. She has also been a guest teacher at Columbia College and Roosevelt University. She and her studio have been featured in Dance Magazine and Dance Teacher Magazine.

In her 30 years as a dance educator Ms. Hackett has taught workshops, master classes and at studios in her home state of New York as well as Chicago and it’s surrounding suburbs. Her choreography has been seen at Chicago area theaters. Ms. Hackett’s performing career includes many productions at theaters such as The Chicago Shakespeare Theater (Chicago, IL), The Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre (Chicago, IL), The Drury Lane Theater (Oakbrook, IL) The Drury Lane Theater South (Evergreen Park, IL), and The Fireside Playhouse (Ft. Atkinson, WI)..

She has also performed for Carnival Cruise Lines and many industrial shows for organizations like State Farm, Pepsi, Give Kids the World, and Kraftmaid. Ms. Hackett is a veteran of additional regional theatre productions in New York and Florida, and industrial shows internationally. Her company experience includes, The Zodiaque Dance Company (Buffalo, NY), Buffalo Inner City Ballet (Buffalo,NY) and The Greater Buffalo Opera Corps de Ballet (Buffalo, NY). She attended the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Emily Moorefield

Emily Moorefield is the proud owner of Midwest Dance Center, where she blends her passion for dance with her dedication to teaching and community engagement. A former professional dancer, Emily’s career includes performing with The Walt Disney Company and other prestigious organizations. With years of experience in the industry, she is committed to providing a welcoming and inspiring environment for dancers of all ages.

Emily firmly believes that children are our future and should be treated as such. At Midwest Dance Center, she strives to create a positive, nurturing space where young dancers not only develop their technique but also grow in confidence, discipline, and character. She and her team are dedicated to teaching not just dance lessons, but life lessons as well—helping students build skills that extend far beyond the studio.

With a strong emphasis on age-appropriate costumes, music, and choreography, Emily creates a safe and enriching environment for all dancers. She is passionate about using dance as a way to bring people together, give back to the community, and make a lasting impact on the lives of her students. Under her leadership, Midwest Dance Center continues to be a place where young dancers are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and shine both on and off the stage.

Jordan Curtin

Jordan began her professional dance journey at 16, joining Portland Festival Ballet under the direction of John Magnus. Since then, she has danced with companies such as BalletMet and Fort Wayne Ballet. Recently she performed soloist roles with the Jerusalem Ballet under Artistic Director Nadya Timofeyeva.

In addition to her work in ballet, Jordan has experience in the film industry, appearing in productions such as Fly Me to The Moon (Apple TV), Love and Murder (BET), Found (Warner Bros.), and Tyler Perry’s All the Queen’s Men. Jordan has walked runway for both Raleigh and Columbus fashion weeks. She has also been featured in music videos and commercials for brands such as Versiti Blood Center and South Carolina Lottery.

Jordan’s background includes training in both classical ballet, hip-hop, and ballroom dance, and she brings this diverse experience to her role as Director of Wisconsin Dance Theatre Conservatory. She is committed to fostering growth and creativity in her students while supporting their individual paths in the dance world.

Samuel Huberty

Samuel is the Director of Wisconsin Dance Theatre and Ballet Master at Wisconsin Dance Theatre Conservatory. He has performed with dance companies in the U.S., South Africa, Kenya, and Israel and was previously a demi-soloist with South Carolina Ballet. Samuel recently returned to Wisconsin after dancing principal roles with Jerusalem Ballet 

under Artistic Director Nadya Timofeyeva.
